Hi and welcome to BeringandWellsRefracted. This tumblr happened because ThreeofEight and Race are insane and spent a lot of time flailing about Warehouse 13 AU’s and then Alittlebit-Aces said something about Myka and HG had a timeless love that transcends the boundaries of the space time continuum. And then Lovesthesoundof gave us a name and it was all over. 

Basically we just wanted to have a place to showcase and advertise some of the amazing already existing AU Warehouse 13 fics out there, while also providing a place for people to PROPOSE AU’s, and maybe collaborate on fics/graphics/ etc.

How does this tumblr work? 

Think of this as kind of like those kink memes on LiveJournal. If you have a Warehouse AU fic or graphic you would like to post, SUBMIT!  If you just want to show off something you’ve done that is completed, great! Simply tag the entry as “closed.”  If you have an IDEA for an AU or you are WORKING on an AU and you would like to see if other people would be willing to write/manip/make graphics for it, just tag the entry as “open” and then make it clear what you would like. For example, some people may have a fic completed and they would like a graphic, or they may have a graphic and would love a fic. Please read those requests carefully. If you can’t tag your submission, please make a note in the body of the text and the mods will add the appropriate tag(s) for you upon posting.

Some things to note. There is NO guarantee someone will answer your call if you mark an entry “open.” This isn’t a dating service, we’re just here to give a home to all the amazing AU ideas that seem to be floating around LiveJournal, tumblr and AO3.

Before playing in someone else’s AU, PLEASE ASK THEM!  That doesn’t mean you can’t have a similar AU of course, there can be infinite variations on vampires, cops, the Roaring 20’s, Pirates etc, but if it suddenly looks like people are snagging ideas without asking, well we sure as shit have no reason to leave this thing up.  So please check the “Open” or “Closed” tags on an entry.   Violators will be banned, tarred, feathered and publicly whipped.  

What you can submit:  Just about anything. It can be as complex as Race’s Pirate’s AU, or as simple as a text post stating:  “Myka and Helena as NYC cops.”

Other Warehouse 13 pairings are welcome! Got an idea for Claudia/Leena as a princess and a Pagan sorceress? Submit it! Vanessa and Artie as space pirates? Submit it! This includes any other pairings involving Myka and/or HG, particularly in the case of crossovers (HG/Helen Magnus is a classic example).

Things that are not allowed: Besides general asshattery, ship or character hate, anything in the “canon” (meaning TV series) timeline is off limits. Go forth, write it, just don’t submit it here. That includes Warehouse 12.  An AU dealing with Warehouse 1 or 2…probably ok. Crossovers are acceptable, but there must be at least SOME tie to Warehouse 13. This isn’t SupernaturalRefracted.  If you’re not sure, just drop us an ask!
